APICA adds a star to its team!
Amid the noise and excitement of the municipal election, APICA’s appointment of a new Director General has been under-played in the media. Aylmer’s dynamic business and professional association will now have its day-to-day affairs overseen by Ms Suzanne Bossé, a 20-year management veteran. She replaces the retiring Jocelyne Lauzon.
Ms Bossé’s career includes managing Livres Canada Books, the national book export association which includes 150 Canadian publishing houses, both English and French, as members. More recently, she managed la Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada (FCFA), representing her association and its members to government and other associations, as well as directing its operations and management. This role saw her cooperating with other bodies in the developing of Francophone services and communities outside Quebec.
Ms Bossé holds a BA from the University of Moncton and an MA from the University of Ottawa.
She inherits a dynamic association, active since the 1970s on behalf of Aylmer’s professionals, industries and retailers. APICA has been a prime mover in Aylmer’s cultural activities, especially focused on developing rue Principale as a commercial and cultural axis for western Gatineau.
