Everyone wants a better society
In the past, it was difficult to find an example of an institutional solution to problems in a structured society, right or wrong. At present, we have examples such as the Me-Too Movement, and often we simplify our reality in making these searches for solutions.
We often see leaders as having ‘dictatorial ‘ ambitions while they try to keep huge societies functioning within the conditions for a citizenry at peace. It’s convenient to point to these ‘big’ figures; we overlook the fact that in searching for a better social order we may find that, in life’s structure, dictatorial attitudes are in fact natural. All around us are conflicts between nature and human intellect, and they are resolved only in a lengthy process (i.e., evolution).
Our prevailing understanding of democratic principles accepts that the educational process is crucial in our democratic society; our engagement here takes an open mind and good will -- as well as constantly redesigning our value system.
