Expropriation of Boucher Forest land goes to court
The City is pursuing its goal to consolidate land to form the Boucher Forest, but appears to be facing some resistance.
On February 6, the executive committee confirmed the mandate of the legal firm DHC Avocats to defend the interests of the City in the expropriation of a lot just north of Boulevard Allumettières, near the Samuel Edey intersection. The trial is scheduled to begin on April 1 and run until April 18.
The City will be facing the numbered company 3962202 CANADA INC in court. Its primary shareholder is the president of CDM Construction.
The lot is about 55,605 square metres and is estimated to be worth $656,100 according to city records.
