The Great Egret at Deschênes rapids
Every week, it is Wednesday of the Great Egret at Deschênes rapids. An invitation of the Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais (COO). For a ninth summer, this weekly outing is to observe and number Great Egrets as they return for the night to their heronry and dormitory (on Conroy Island) in Deschênes rapids. We’ll be at the belvedere along the bike path. The rapids at the sunset, these elegant white wading birds, and the other birds on the move, will give an impressive show for sure. An activity for all.
Rendez-vous : 6 pm at Rapides Deschênes parking (south end of Vanier Road in Aylmer). We’ll stay in place until around 8:30.Your guide: Rodolphe Dubois (819-685-9159). For information about our activities (mostly open to everyone), visit our web site www.coo.qc.ca
