A CHAMP FROM AYLMER

Malaïka Gaudette competed with athletes from all of Ontario in the provincial winter games of Special Olympics at the beginning of February 2019 in Sault Ste. Marie. After three days of grueling and exciting competitions, she came back with two gold (1 km and 500 m) and one silver (100 m) medals in cross country skiing Malaïka is an avid athlete who participates in a majority of the summer and winter sports offered by the Ontario Special Olympics in the region.  She is a very determined lady and, despite her disability, has cumulated a very impressive quantity of medals and trophies over the years.
