AHA opposes dismantling the Castel Blanc complex

 

Supported by four organizations in the Aylmer sector, the AHA opposes the subdivision of Castel Blanc (43 rue Principale). Le Castel Blanc is a heritage complex made up of a magnificent white house in the neo-Queen-Anne style and a large garden bearing witness to the picturesque current in Aylmer in the 19th century.
    The subdivision by the developer aims to allow the destruction of the garden to build a new building. However, the AHA argues that the garden is inseparable from the house and therefore has great heritage value. Its destruction would be a heritage disaster because of its exceptional state of conservation, its role within the picturesque heritage ensemble and its immense contribution to the quality of life of the population.
