---Aylmer pulled together to help those in need
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus of St. Mark’s Church, with the help of some parishioners, prepared a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, enough for 155 generous servings. Tickets sold out for the dinners, which were picked up at a drive-thru at the church parking lot on the evening of December 18.
The proceeds from the dinner, $2,600, were donated to St. Mark’s Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. Conference President Diane Boisjoli expressed her gratitude for the donation, noting that this time of the year was normally when the SSVP in Aylmer received a significant percentage of their annual budget. Unfortunately, however, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, two major fundraisers – the Guignolée and the Santa Claus Parade – had not taken place. (BA)
