---  Beer cans and trash along Rivermead

 

My wife and I walk down Rivermead Road, between Aylmer Road and Lucerne Blvd. We are overwhelmed by the amount of trash on the side of the road; what is worrisome is that it is mostly all beer cans and hard liquor bottles, all from the Ontario. So we took it upon ourselves to pick them up to keep the area clean. When we walk in Lakeview or Connaught Park we don’t see garbage like this. It is only on this stretch of Rivermead Road that all this “booze” is found and it’s always the same brands. Obviously someone with no common sense is drinking and driving, big time. We are surprised to see how much is there, and that the person doing this every day is driving and can’t keep their garbage and dispose of it when they get home. Obviously they don’t want to be caught with booze in the car or at home.  I figure it’s a matter of time before they get pulled over for DUI or, worst yet, they cause an accident.
