COVID-19 update: CISSSO opens testing for everyone
Among 606 Outaouais residents testing positive for coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, 491 have recovered. According to CISSSO, there were 82 active COVID-19 cases in the region as of July 6, with 33 people having died from the virus. In the last seven days, CISSSO conducted an average of 93 screening tests per day. Three people were hospitalized, with none requiring intensive treatment.
With COVID-19 still being transmitted within the community, the Centre intégré de la santé et des services sociaux de l’Outaouais (CISSSO) declared testing accessible for all residents who are interested, July 2.
According to a press release issued on the same date, testing will still only be conducted by appointment, noting that people showing COVID-19 symptoms are strongly urged to call the Quebec Services designtated phone line – 1-877-644-4545 or 1-819-644-4545 – to get tested.
