-----   Election: Why is Chalk River not ringing alarm bells?

 

I would add the following to any discussion of nuclear power as a replacement source of electricity.  A great deal of vulnerability is baked right into all nuclear systems:  potential computer malfunctions, imperfect information for decision-making, accidents, cyber-attacks, human errors, and the human imperfections we all see every day, like fatigue, personal stresses or even drug abuse.   

And then we give the whole project to SNC Lavalin, which can't keep its part of Ottawa's single-line metro running consistently?  They are able to bill us, however.
