Farmers’ Market returns to Old Aylmer
The Farmers’ Market of Old Aylmer will be returning to Memorial Park for its fourth straight year. There will be several vendors new to the market, including poulty specialists La ferme Saveurs des Monts, maple syrup products from La Cabane à Pierre, fresh juices from Miss Press and many more.
Live music is planned for every Sunday and the annual family day event will be held on July 16. Market-going families will be treated to face painting, bouncy castles and live animation, all free on site. In October, organizers will again this year offer a corn roast to thank clients for their support.
Event coordinator Kristine Landry says, “The market started small four years ago with only 10 vendors and this year we expect 35 to 40. The community response has been amazing. Support for our local farmers, producers and artisans has been great and we hope to be able to continue to offer an alternative way of shopping to our clients.”
The Market will be open for the season on June 4 through to October 8 and will be operational on Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm.
