LETTER
Just a moment, Mr. Beard!
Contrary to your statement in your letter in the Aylmer Bulletin, edition of March 24, Quebec is not a bilingual province. In Canada, New Brunswick is, by law, the only bilingual province. Québec is legally French as of the 1867 BNA Act. Its only official language is French, as legislated by the National Assembly, under Robert Bourassa’s Liberal Government -- in July, 1974.
