--- New nuclear projects -- just upstream?

 

I cannot believe that the federal government persists in supporting (with our taxes) the nuclear energy industry.  How many citizens, citizen groups, and scientific experts have to protest before the Liberals get the message that they cannot paint themselves green while supporting pipelines -- and nuclear waste generation?  We have no way to safely dispose of the waste, which will outlive all of us many times. 

I am quite disappointed that the Liberals (I voted for them) have shamelessly opted to support every industry that can afford paid lobbyists in Ottawa. Obviously they are not afraid of the Tories -- first, the Tory party is still stuck in Harper's potholes and unlikely to unseat the Liberals soon, and even if the Conservatives did up-end the Trudeau Liberals they themselves are even bigger supporters of pipelines and spreading nuclear projects and waste in isolated communities across Canada. Is this the Liberal plan to equalize Indigenous communities -- place them in shadow of nuclear waste stockpiles?
