LETTER
--- "Nuclear waste" and "nuclear power"
I can sympathize with all the letter-writers who have written in over the past few years criticizing the SNC-Lavalin plan to build a huge radioactive dump upstream from the national capital (and up from Aylmer!) However, the other half of Lavalin's pitch is for a new centre to study, test, and then manufacture mini-reactors. Do not confuse both plans. Nuclear waste is an unsolved (and maybe unsolve-able) problem for the world. But nuclear power, in my opinion, is one of the few new sources of energy which seems up to the challenge of our oil-free future.
