Police intervene in weekend altercation on John Egan Street

Gatineau Police (SPVG) were called to intervene at a residence on John Egan Street at approximately 9 am on Sunday, May 1, with regards to an altercation between two individuals. The individuals knew each other prior to the incident.
Once on the scene police arrested a woman for assault with a weapon. The victim was brought to the hospital with upper body injuries but was later discharged as the injuries were not serious.
The woman was brought to the station for questioning and was released with the promise to appear.
The residence and scene were examined by investigators and the Forensic Identification Service. The investigators found cannabis plants on site which were seized under the Cannabis Act and both individuals were charged with cultivation of cannabis.
