Santa Claus Parade resumes, with a twist!
Amy Mehta
The Santa Claus Parade will be celebrating its 26th edition, after having been cancelled last year due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Floats will be on display on November 27, from 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm. As a result of the current protocols, the parade will be a “reverse parade” meaning floats will be parked, instead of following the usual route. The Reverse Parade will take place on Principale St. between Frank Robinson, and Front.
While the number of people on each float will be limited, registration for the floats is open to sports organizations, large bands, community organizations, etc.
It is asked that spectators can provide proof of vaccine in order to view the floats. Parking is available at and around Galeries Aylmer along with arenas and side streets
