Second arrest made in the Trevor Turner murder case

A second individual has been arrested by the Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) in connection with the murder of Trevor Turner, a 22-year-old man who died of stab wounds on May 28 2022. Kieran Burbank, a 20-year-old Gatineau resident, was arrested on June 29 at approximately 2 p.m. Mr. Burbank, who is known to local authorities for other offenses, appeared the next day in front of the Quebec Court on a charge of involuntary manslaughter. This arrest is the second in the Trevor Turner murder case. A few days prior to Mr. Burbank's arrest, the SPVG arrested Malcolm Smith, 19 years old, on charges of accessory after the fact of manslaughter.
On May 28, 2022, around 2 a.m., the SPVG responded to a call placed to the 9-1-1 Call Centre in connection with a victim of a stabbing outside a bar on Court Street in the Aylmer sector. When police arrived on the scene, Trevor Turner was lying on the ground a few meters from the Flixx bar, visibly suffering from severe upper body injuries. Despite the efforts of the police and medical staff, Mr. Turner died of his injuries in the hospital.
