Serious car accident near Aylmer Marina

At approximately 3:00 am on November 7, Gatineau Police were called to an accident on rue Principale near the Aylmer Marina, where a car had crashed into a tree. Emergency services were needed to get the driver and a passenger out of the vehicle. Both were transported to the Hull hospital in critical condition, where the driver, a young man in his twenties, was pronounced dead.

Rue Principale was closed between rue du Prince de Galles and the entrance to the marina. The investigation is ongoing, and a technician is evaluating the scene to determine the cause of the accident, unknown at the time of publishing.
