Summer in Old Aylmer
Old Aylmer is a destination for locals and visitors, every day of the week. With free parking, a walk through historical Old Aylmer with modern flavours, there is something for everyone. Pictured are: Didier Jean-Michel from the Island Flavours Market, Marché JD and Rio Açai's **** and *****.
Aylmer's long history of sailing, cycling, good food and free museums means visitors can park near Marché JD and walk down to the Marina or the other way around. Consult the STO public transit schedule to catch a ride back to the car - or walk back up. The Symmes Inn Museum is near the Marina and entirely free, as is the Imagier Art Gallery just next door.
The farmer's market is every Sunday. Watch upcoming editions of the Aylmer Bulletin for more to enjoy in Old Aylmer. But mark calendars for August 20 and 21. Not only is the Aydelu Centre the site of Rendez-vous Pride LGBTQ+, but rue Principale will be closed to vehicular traffic for the Festival Vieux-Aylmer. Photos: Greg Newing
