------  Tram on Aylmer Road?

 

David McColl is bang on. As his letter last week states, a tramway on chemin Aylmer is a waste of money and will do nothing to alleviate traffic congestion.   I have written to the STO and to  our MP Greg Fergus, who is promoting this project. 

  In my experience, public consultation is nothing but a sham. The STO made up their  minds on routes a long time ago. I don't believe they have costed  all routes, from what  I have been told. Can't we see the numbers? 

Lucerne Blvd makes the most sense to me; it's a no-brainer!  As Mr McColl states, the rail right of way already exists. Less cost and park-and-rides can easily  be built there.  

Mr Fergus, the federal  government holds the purse strings.  Over to you for a decision -- and  a  explanation with costs.
