------ Transition to electric - more important than ever
Transportation alone is responsible for nearly half of the world's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. To reduce these emissions, electric vehicles represent an effective and attractive solution for consumers. More than 10 million families in the world now drive electric vehicles, and that's no small feat. These vehicles allow to drive without polluting and have many advantages. Sporty acceleration, silent driving, requiring very little maintenance, their cost of use can be up to 10 times less expensive than a gasoline or diesel vehicle! Federal and provincial subsidies greatly reduce their purchase price.
Every dollar spent on electric vehicles in Quebec is returned to taxpayers by Hydro-Quebec. Driving on gasoline, on the contrary, makes us poorer because our money goes to foreign oil interests.
Knowing all this, I wish with all my heart that your next vehicle is electric. You don't know which one to choose? You will find the information you need on the Association des véhicules électriques du Québec website ( aveq.ca ), on the roulonselectrique.ca website or on the roulezelectrique.com website.
