Way of the Cross
Sophie Demers
The walking Way of the Cross on Good Friday is a remembrance of Jesus carrying his cross to Calvary where he was crucified.
Parishioners from all the Christian churches in Aylmer have done this for many years, but the last two were skipped because of the pandemic. It started at St. Paul's Church and the people stopped at all the other churches to do a reading from the bible and say a prayer. From St. Paul's, the route was to St. Andrew's, Christ Church, the United Church and then St. Mark's, where a 'hunger meal' is served in the parish hall. (MB)
