The Knights of Columbus celebrated their famous monthly Walleye dinner with the community, and a special surprise as they marked the 65th anniversary of the Knights of Columbus Aylmer on Friday, May 29, with founder and former Grand Knight Ronald Lévesque in attendance. They unveiled the new 65th edition of the Knights of Columbus roll-up banner to the audience.
Patrick Doyon, the Grand Knight, made multiple donations to their partners in the Aylmer area, including $1,500 to Société Alzheimer’s Outaouais, $600 to the Aylmer Scouts, and another $600 to The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
The walleye dinner had tables filled from top to bottom with residents in line to get their hands on the delicious walleye cooked by the Knights of Columbus themselves. It was $25 for a plate, which included either walleye or chicken, coleslaw, and french fries, topped off with a delicious selection of cakes.
The local band Unison was back for another walleye dinner, performing live for friends and family in the room. The next edition of the walleye dinner takes place on Friday, June 26, 2026.
