The long-awaited Constance-Provost building, future home for Gatineau city services for Aylmer as well as the Lucy-Faris Library, is nearing completion. According to Gatineau, the construction is progressing well. Workers can be seen working on the building on December 12, despite freezing temperatures.
The team is mainly working on the interior of the building. Once construction is complete Gatineau will take over to add the final touches to get the building ready for public use. These will include adding furniture, shelving, setting up equipment, and adding the books.
