What is the Best of Aylmer Readers’ Choice Awards? It’s a way for Aylmer residents to show their appreciation for local shops and services. The Bulletin team provides the categories, and readers fill out a ballot with their choices. Do you wish you could tell the world about your favourite cashier in Aylmer? Now’s your chance. Are you impressed with the service at your pharmacy? Vote for them in “Best customer service.” Can’t get enough of that delicious chicken dish at your go-to restaurant? Not only should you vote, but encourage your friends to do the same! 

The voting period, which is a month long, opened this week. Each person only gets one ballot, so please get everyone you know to vote.

The Bulletin team will take care of the rest. We’ll tally the votes (and this is no small task, considering there are around 50 categories and many voting options for each, since people can write whatever they want on their ballot). Some businesses are supporting this voting period by reminding readers to vote for them. Look for these ads near the ballot.

The winners will be announced at a gala event on April 24. Only the finalists are invited to attend this exclusive event at the Gatineau Golf Club. The results will be published at the end of April, so keep an eye out for them. Then, watch for certificates displayed in local businesses and congratulate them on their wins. The certificate is a testament to their dedication and hard work.
