Boucher Forest Foundation unveiled a new obstacle course on Wednesday, October 8th. It is constructed with wood and has a beautiful design. The course is not only for children but also for adults, as it includes some challenging steps.
Martin Chevalier, general director of the Foundation, mentioned that they worked very hard over the last two years to get this project finished.
The Foundation invited classes from École internationale du Village to be the first to try out the course. The students attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open it and then were eager to get on the course.
When the course opened, everyone was excited, running around, yelling, and having a great time. “I'm so happy for them. It makes me happy to see them having fun and enjoying an activity like this,” said 5th-grade teacher Jessica Mantha Duffy.
“It’s amazing to see the children so active; it’s what we want to see,” said Chevalier.
“The city has put a lot of money into the Boucher Forest over the years, and to see that we have a concrete infrastructure for kids to come and play on, it’s incredible,” said Caroline Murray, municipal councillor for the Deschênes district.
Murray mentioned that this new obstacle course offers people a chance to enjoy nature, have fun, and learn to protect and respect the environment.
