Three family events brightened Aylmer during March Break at the Galeries Aylmer.
A chess event on Tuesday, a Unigym event on Wednesday was followed by a nature event Friday when the Galeries teamed up with Little Ray's Nature Centre to host a reptile demonstration.
The reptile demonstration drew a big crowd around the mall. Live reptiles were shown, with some educational information about them.
The Unigym event was a gymnastics demonstrations and workshops for youngsters. Mats and other gymnastics set up filled the eastern hallway, with low bars to walk on, a spring horse to use as a catapult, and a team of trainers to guide the budding gymnasts. Unigym is a popular gymnastics club and is moving into the Galeries Aylmer in 2026, when the city library vacates the former cinema space.
