Local vendors crowded Aylmer's first summer edition of the Local Artisan’s Market hosted by District Aylmer on July 4. The event allowed residents to shop from various kiosks owned by Aylmer artists and creators in attendance. The stands featured a variety of products, including wood art, printed art, 3D art, and other displays. “The goal of the event was to provide a showcase for the local vendors and to display their products,” said Izabelle Leroux, the event organizer.
Buying from local vendors has its benefits, as it supports the economy, helps boost the community, and helps fellow locals realize their creative passions. “It’s a lot of fun to see everyone come out to encourage the locals, because it is extremely important to buy from in-region vendors,” said Leroux.
Aylmer’s summer season includes various markets throughout July and August that thrive with local vendors and bring the community together to spotlight Aylmer's own sellers.
