PIZZICATO HARMONY
Aylmer's Community Music Program
Pizzicato Harmony is a new after school music program which is fun and interactive. It is a social music program that is closely aligned with the principles of El Sistema, the internationally celebrated music program in Venezuela, and has three clear aims:
• Access to musical instruction, without cost as a barrier to participation
• Provision of a safe, positive, inspiring, fun learning environment and promotes and builds personal growth and inspires children to realize their full potential as students, musicians and citizens
Our Program
The learning at Pizzicato Harmony is based in ensemble experience, group learning and practice, frequent performance as well as consistent individualized attention. Students will attend three days a week and learn music through orchestral and choir ensembles. Each student will have access to wind and string instruments and learn how to play and care for them. They will also learn how read and write music and sing in group settings.
Students can come after school from 3 pm. Healthy snacks will be provided. Kids can talk, practice, play ping pong or do homework until the choir and orchestra rehearsals start at 4 pm.
