Power couple delivers Home Hardware to Aylmer

 

Isabel and Marc Clément heard Aylmer’s request for a Home Hardware store loud and clear two years ago. They filled the need, and opened last fall in the Galeries Aylmer.

Aylmer residents had been accustomed to finding their hardware and supplies right in Old Aylmer, so when the Canadian Tire moved to Le Plateau in early 2016, Aylmerites mobilized to invite a replacement. Being co-op owners across the river, the Cléments had early options on a new Home Hardware opening. “We saw Aylmer as an inviting and motivated community,” Mr Clément told the Bulletin. “We’re a family-run business, so, knowing that Aylmer is very family-oriented, we knew our fit here would be solid. Our kids lend a hand when they can; they like being in the store, and, like all kids, they’re welcome.”

Home Hardware Aylmer is much more than a nuts-and-bolts hardware store. Professionals in each department know their stock and how to best to use it. For example, the paint department prides itself with superior quality paints. Benjamin Moore is a product home-lovers seek out, especially with expert advice available on-site. “I love BBQs, so I stock the best quality.

 

We know the selection and price ranges. Broil King, a Canadian brand, is one of the best, and we are an Elite Weber dealer. We have selections for every need, from apartment balconies to estates!”

The Cléments lost their Beechwood Home Hardware to a fire in March of 2011. “When the fire happened, the reality of the path ahead was a bit of a shock. For a year and a month, I really missed it. I was used to getting up in the morning, ready to help our customers. Although that experience was traumatic, it did confirm my life path. Putting a team of employees together, I look for similarly-passionate people. That’s why we’re with Home Hardware! When we saw our Best of Aylmer Readers’ Choice awards results, we knew the community was behind us. This really warmed our hearts.
