The women-only choir, The Shout Sister Choir, is holding its first annual concert and fundraising in Aylmer on June 7 at 3 pm at St. Paul's Church. The Shout Sister choir was founded in 2002 and has different groups across Canada, including Kingston, Aylmer, Belleville, Brockville, Toronto, and many more.
Elyse McCann, the founder of the Aylmer chapter, started it in February 2025 to give women an opportunity to sing and be part of the team.
“I love creating opportunities for people to play music and sing,” McCann said
The funds raised by the concert will support L'Autre Chez Soi, an organization that provides support services for women, and all proceeds will be donated to the organization.
