Spirituality, Solidarity, and Success

Mélissa Gélinas

More than 120 tickets were sold for Abbie Kwong-Pilon's mediumship reading session, which took place at the Aylmer Council's Knights of Columbus Hall on September 27. 100% of the proceeds were distributed to the Aylmer Food Centre. The total amount has not yet been revealed.

According to Kwong-Pilon, the event was a great success. It is, above all, a spiritual encounter with the afterlife that helps people understand that death is not final. "People enjoyed the experience and were very surprised by the messages they received," she explains. For her, it was both intimidating and exciting to hold her very first event like this. Above all, she was happy to be able to give back to the community.

This event was also created in tribute to her mother. "For her, the language of love was food; that's why I chose to donate to the Aylmer Food Centre," she explained. It's an important cause for her, especially with the growing demand in the region. The Food Centre was very grateful for this support.

Thanks to the success of the event, Kwong-Pilon plans to hold a second one around April 2026. "People are already asking me when the next session will be," she said.

Her Background

A resident of Aylmer for over 30 years, Abbie Kwong-Pilon is a medium and clairvoyant. She also teaches tai chi, offers healing therapies, and gives virtual mediumistic readings internationally. All her work is related to healing.

Ever since she was a child, she has perceived many things. “I thought that was the case for everyone,” she recalls. “It wasn’t until I was about 30 that I realized I had visions and the ability to perceive entities. So, it was a gradual process.”

Upcoming Event

Kwong-Pilon will also be present at the Aylmer Fall Psychic Fair, which will take place on Sunday, October 26, from 10 am to 3 pm at the Aylmer Council's Knights of Columbus Hall (78 Rue Principale), where she will give individual psychic reading sessions.

More specifically, this is a local spiritual event created by Megan Driskell, a psychic medium and Reiki teacher. Since 2022, she has been inviting people to come and participate in all kinds of activities such as healing sessions, consultations, tarot readings, art workshops, and more. "Every year, I am very busy at this event because it has become increasingly popular," said Kwong-Pilon.

The cost is $5 and free for youth 14 and under.
