Sugar Shack in Old Aylmer, a success
Jude Osmond
The annual event hosted by APICA to celebrate the maple season – called “Le Vieux-Aylmer se sucre le bec” – took place over the weekend of April 11-12. The event boasted an impressive lineup of sweets and other offerings, with numerous vendors showcasing a wide variety of products, including pastries, spices, jewelry, and more. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the maple taffy, which drew long lines of eager tasters.
Local businesses such as Domaine Kildare, Mimi CreArt, and Les Pas Pressés were among the vendors and artisans lining the street.
The Sugar Shack event was held on Principale street, which was bustling with people strolling up and down the road and enjoying the lively atmosphere.
This event was part of APICA’S festive lineup of events aimed at revitalizing the heart of Old Aylmer.
