The Aylmer Food Bank is having its 20th edition of the Christmas sharing store

Jude Osmond

The Aylmer Food Bank is hosting its 20th edition of the Christmas Sharing Store. They are preparing boxes of fresh ingredients, non-perishable food, small essential items and small holiday gifts to give out to fellow community members who are eligible for the food bank.

“We want people to know where they're for them and where they're there to help,” said Mercedes DTrinidad, programs director at the Aylmer food bank.

To receive a box, prices vary: for one person, 15 dollars; for a small family, 30 dollars; for a big family, 45 dollars; and for a very big family, 55 dollars.

If you want to receive a box, here's how.

Contact the Aylmer food bank at caaadmin@centrealimentaireaylmer.org or 819-684-0163. You will book a meeting with them and give them a list of what you need.

The deadline to sign up is November 28th.

The week of December 15th is when the boxes will be ready for pickup at the food bank, which is 67 rue du Couvent, Gatineau.

This wouldn’t be possible without the donations of fresh ingredients the food bank receives from the community.
