Two people killed in head-on collision on Boulevard des Allumettières

A tragic accident involving two vehicles occurred shortly after midnight on Friday, September 4, on Boulevard des Allumettières between Chemin Vanier and Boulevard des Grives, in Aylmer. For reasons still unknown, the vehicles collided head-on after one of them veered into the oncoming lane.

All three occupants of the vehicles involved were taken to hospital, where both drivers were pronounced dead. The third person remained in critical condition at press time.

The Gatineau police are continuing their investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
