We have an activity for you!
On Sunday, October 19, the Alliance is organizing its fall cleanup in Deschênes Park with the participation of members of the Agence de bassin versant des 7. For many years, we have been combing the riverbanks and forest to collect all kinds of trash and debris.
Did you know that a single cigarette butt can take 1 to 3 years to decompose, and that the toxic chemicals and microplastics in the filter contaminate the soil and water, affecting ecosystems?
So imagine the impact of the packaging, plastic, and metal that also litter the ground!
We must not allow our forests and rivers to become dumps. If you care about nature and want to protect it, we invite you to join us on October 19 at 10 a.m. in front of 100 Fraser Road.
We hope to see many of you there to take up the challenge!
