What a haul!

On Sunday, October 19, the Alliance organized its annual fall cleanup of Deschênes Park, with the help of members of the Agence bassin versant des sept.

Blessed with almost summer-like weather, participants collected approximately 230 kilograms of all kinds of trash during the morning.

It is staggering to see the quantity and type of trash that people throw away in the forest. Cans, packaging, containers, an old chair, a commercial dishwasher, and an old bed are just some of the items that were found on site.

At a time when we need to come together to combat pollution and protect the environment, it is incomprehensible that some people continue to dump their trash everywhere, when there are mechanisms in place for recycling.
